Interesting to see that the counts for both the Bristol Mayor election and the Police and Crime Commissioner election are being held at the UWE Exhibition Conference Centre in Stoke Gifford. Apparently the City of Bristol doesn’t have a suitably large venue within its own boundaries!
Those of us in the North Fringe won’t be able to vote for the mayor on this occasion but surely it’s just a matter of time before the communities of Filton, Stoke Gifford, Patchway and Bradley Stoke are absorbed into the city.
